Getting to Tsuruga

Tsuruga is situated at lat. 35°38’ 42.7” N. and long. 136°3’ 19.8” E. If coming by air, get to Komatsu Airport through Narita or Haneda Airport from Tokyo; New Chitose Airport from Hokkaido; Sendai Airport from Tohoku area; Fukuoka Airport from Kyushu area; and Naha Airport from Okinawa. From Komatsu Airport, take a shuttle bus or JR express train. If coming by train, take a shinkansen from Tokyo, Naoya or Osaka, then transfer to a express train at Maibara bound for Tsuruga. Direct express trains to Tsuruga run from Nagoya and Osaka.

When coming by airplane, it is best to come via Komatsu Airport. Airport shuttle buses are available from Komatsu Airport to JR Komatsu Station.
