Aioi-cho is known for its connection with Abe no Seimei, and it is also known as the birthplace of Tsuruga’s marketplace. It is here that the Seimei Morning Market is held once every month, with crops sold by the farmers who grew them, and a variety of other delicious and unique specialties. Enjoy chatting with the vendors while you shop for fresh, delicious food.
